Lake Travis Music Theatre's Rising Stars program teaches and empowers young people through learning and performing. Kids build confidence and skills they can access for the rest of their lives.

 

This year ALL students will be participating in The Little Mermaid Jr.  

There will be an Audition Workshop on Saturday, Aug. 15th from 2-4pm, located at LVES Cafeteria. Auditions will be held Saturday, Aug. 22nd from 12:30-6:30pm, Sunday Aug. 23rd from 1:30-5pm with an optional Callback date on Saturday Aug. 29th from 12:30-3:30pm at LVES Cafeteria.

 

*Rising Stars JR. Students will NOT audition and will be guaranteed a role in two production songs! 

 

Classes will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 2nd: Junior Rising Stars from 4-5pm, Rising Stars from 5:30-7:30 and Rising Stars+ from 7:30-9pm- More info on Rising Stars+ add-on Program COMING SOON!

 

Rehearsal location will be LVES Cafeteria. Classes will conclude with our Performances; Feb. 5th-7th

Requirements

REGISTRATION

  • Fill out a separate form for each child.

  • Please select the optional Audition Workshop: Saturday, August 15th; 2-4pm if your child would like to attend.

TUITION

Tuition will cover all rehearsals, costumes- including base layer, Risings Stars t-shirt and The Little Mermaid show shirt, show day meal/snacks (if applicable) and Cast Party. ​

RISING STARS: GRADES 3rd - 12th

Schedule: Wednesdays, 5:30-7:30pm at LVES Cafeteria

$525

  • Can be paid up front or by 7 monthly installments. The first installment or full payment is due with registration. Tuition will be $525 or $75.00/ installment. (Installments are based off of the flat amount of $525 and are split equally for each month no matter how many rehearsals take place in a month.) 

RISING STARS JR.: GRADES K - 2nd

Schedule: Wednesdays, 4:00-5:00pm at LVES Cafeteria

Show Role: Students will perform in a minimum of 2, full-costume, ensemble numbers in the production and will be required to attend a modified Tech Week schedule. No auditions required.  

$325

  • Can be paid up front or by 7 monthly installments. The first installment or full payment is due with registration. Tuition will be $325 or $46.50/ installment. (Installments are based off of the flat amount of $325 and are split equally for each month no matter how many rehearsals take place in a month.)

 

RISING STARS+: ADVANCED MUSICAL THEATRE TRAINING GRADES 6-12TH

VOLUNTEER ASSISTANCE

  • We could not produce this show without your help! Parents are asked to volunteer for 8 hours of volunteer assistance. Emails will be sent out with volunteering opportunities from September leading up to Tech Week.

AUDITIONS

  • Audition Workshop: Saturday, August 15th- 1:30-4:30; $10 per student.

  • Auditions: Saturday August 22nd- 12:30-6:30pm; Sunday, August 23rd- 1:30-5:00pm; Saturday, August 29th- 12:30-5:00pm (optional audition date for Callbacks)

  • Rising Stars JR. Students will NOT audition. All JR Students will be guaranteed a role in at least 2 songs.  

  • ​All students who register will be given a role! 

REHEARSALS

  • Rehearsals take place on Wednesday afternoons (after school hours) at the Lago Vista Elementary Cafeteria. The first rehearsal is the Wednesday, September 2nd. 

  • Actors should wear movable attire that they can easily dance and jump in, and bring a snack and a bottle of water. Please no sticky or open beverages. More information and our Code of Conduct will be given at the first rehearsal.

SHOW TIME!

  • Performance Dates are Friday, February 5th; Saturday, February 6th and Sunday, February 7th

  • Tech week (required for participation) will be 1 week before the show. Tech week is crucial to our production to work out all elements of the stage and get comfortable performing for an audience. 

  • Costumes and props will be covered by LTMT, and will be organized by a prop committee. Actors provide their dance shoes. Specific details will be given by the directing team.
