Lake Travis Music Theatre is holding open auditions for a summer stock musical production of Into the Woods. Auditions are open to adults and youth ages 12+ and older. *Please note that the roles of Jack and Little Red will be cast between the ages of 12-16 (Little Red) and 12-18 (Jack). Please bring a headshot and resume to your audition

Show Dates:  June 19-21 and June 26-28
Show Location: Lago Vista ISD Performing Arts Center
Rehearsal Location: Lago Vista Elementary

Read through will be held Saturday, March 21st in Lago Vista.

Audition Details:

• Audition Dates: March 7, March 12, or March 14

• Callbacks: March 14

• Audition Location: LV Elementary

• Auditions are open to adults and students who have turned 12 by March 1st, 2026.
   

• Please wear comfortable clothing and dance shoes of some kind. We do not have a separate dance audition. If you would like to complete the dance audition you will do so as part of your 10 minute audition time slot.

Audition Prep: ​

• OPTIONAL CHOREOGRAPHY AUDITION MATERIAL. Dance auditions are not required but if you would like to show off your personality through movement this is a great opportunity. Choreography for this production will be on the lighter side.  
   

• Cold-reads will be included in callbacks. NO MONOLOGUES required for auditions.

• ALL AUDITIONEES: Please be prepared to sing measures 31-49 from the Act II Finale Part 4. For those wanting to be considered for any of the following roles you will need to prepare an additional cut of music provided HERE.

• Sheet music is available HERE. Backing tracks will be provided-no need to bring a speaker. *See vocal audition cuts for link to accompaniment.
   

• Please make yourself familiar with all songs from the show.
   

• Please be sure to indicate on the audition form if you will or will not accept any role. 
   

• Callbacks will take place from 1-5pm March 14th.  You will be notified by 12pm on the 14th if you have a callback.  We MAY notify those who audition on the 7th or 12th earlier. If you are unavailable for callbacks we may schedule an additional time to meet with you or request a video submission.
   

• You will be notified by email regarding casting, rehearsal scheduling, and general cast information prior to March 21st.

• Arrive early to warm up.

• Bring water and wear comfortable but audition appropriate clothing.
