Rising Stars
Lake Travis Music Theatre's Rising Stars program teaches and empowers young people through learning and performing. Kids build confidence and skills they can access for the rest of their lives. For the 2023-2024 Lake Travis Music Theatre Rising Stars season, Director Barbara Graham and Assistants Lisa Weaver and Lisa Whitted will be evaluating all students ahead of the first class (meet the staff here). Evaluations will be used to place students in the proper class and to cast the musical production.
Evaluation Requirements
We are using the term “evaluation” rather than audition because all students will be given the opportunity to join a class and perform. There will be no cuts, all students who want to participate in Rising Stars will have the opportunity to do so.
Evaluations will be held in August in Lago Vista, TX. Registered students will be notified when evaluation signups are available. During the evaluation, students may be asked to read lines, sing (Happy Birthday is great, or they can bring a song they have prepared), and/or learn and demonstrate simple dance moves. This is meant to be a way for Mrs. Barbara and Mrs. Lisa to meet and learn about the students and is not intended to be high pressure. Students are not required to prepare anything in advance and prior experience is not required.
Development Class
The LTMT Rising Stars 2023 – 2024 Development Class will focus on the fundamentals of musical theater including acting, dancing, singing, and general theatre knowledge. Ages first grade and up.

Payment Options after $50 Registration Fee:

$50 Auto-Payments: Monthly September - April
We are offering an 8-month payment option to spread the payments out to make them more affordable. Please note that if you choose this payment option you will continue to make payments after the production is over and the season has ended. -
$80 Auto-Payments (Monthly September - January)

OR if you choose to pay the $400 balance in full (after the $50 registration fee) by 9/7/23 you will receive 2 complimentary tickets to the Rising Stars musical production performance of your choice.
Production Company
The LTMT Rising Stars 2023 – 2024 Production Company is an evaluation-based production company for 1st through 12th grade students who will rehearse and perform the musical theatre production.
